Patient transportation services
- For the elderly/persons with disabilities/wheelchair users provided by non-profit making organizations (Self-financed):
- Non-Emergency Ambulance Transfer Service (NEATS)
Non-Emergency Ambulance Transfer Service (NEATS) aims to serve patients of specialist clinics and geriatric day hospitals
and patients discharged from public hospitals, who have difficulty in walking; or mental impairment; or sensory
impairment; and cannot use other transport means including public transportation, vehicles of elderly homes, Rehabus or
taxi, etc. Eligible patients applying for NEATS have to be assessed by clinical staff. The NEATS Control Centres process
all applications and arrange service taking into consideration the demand and supply situation.
