Clinical Pathology

The Department of Clinical Pathology (PATH) provides quality clinical laboratory services, which include the examination and analysis of various types of patient specimens to provide important information to the clinicians for diagnosis and treatment of diseases, and the monitoring of disease progress. The Department also provides specialist interpretation and advice to the clinicians for patient management. Blood transfusion and autopsy service are also part of our PATH service. There are divisions including Anatomical Pathology (including Histopathology, Cytology and Mortuary), Chemical Pathology, Haematology & Blood Bank, Clinical Microbiology and Molecular Pathology.
