The Department of Clinical Psychology delivers services to inpatients in the form of
consultation-liaison service, as well as patients from day hospitals and outpatient clinics. The Department of Clinical Psychology
provides psychological treatments in both individual and group formats according to patients’
condition and needs. Only referral made by healthcare units under the Hospital Authority would be
considered.
Scope of Service
- Psychiatric Services: To provide psychological assessment and treatment for children and adolescents, adults and elderlies with psychiatric disorders.

Medical Psychological Services: The Department of Clinical Psychology provides support and direct clinical services in the
following areas:
- Adjustment and acceptance of chronic diseases, fatal Illness and disabilities
- Cognitive/ Neuropsychological assessment (e.g. Pre DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) assessment for patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease, pre-post assessment for patient undergoing neuro-surgical procedures)
- Pain management
- Palliative care (for patients and family members)
- Pre-procedural assessment (e.g. organ transplant for living kidney donor/ recipient & Bariatric surgery)
- Post-procedural psychological support and adjustment issues
- Trauma & Crisis
- Treatment compliance issues

- Monday to Friday: 08:30 - 12:30; 13:30 - 17:30
- Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday : Closed
