The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital (PYNEH) is accredited by
local and overseas institutions as a specialist physicians and nurses training centre, with fully
computerized monitoring and advanced medical technology. ICU now have 25 beds in ward B10 and D10
and about 120 experienced ICU doctors and nurses to provide seamless and professional care to more
than 1700 patients per year.
Scope of Service

Critical care including complex hemodynamic monitoring and multi-organ life support
- Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
- Highest level according to the Australian definition on ICU level of care
- Mechanical ventilation (Invasive and Non-invasive)
- Renal Replacement Therapy (including technique of regional citrate anticoagulation and online Haemofiltration / Diafiltration) and Blood Purification Therapy
