The Department of Medical Physics facilitates the use of ionizing radiation in both diagnostic
imaging and radiotherapy treatments. The Department maintains the performance of all the radiation
devices, performs technical data analysis, assists in the development of advanced diagnosis and
radiotherapy technology, and participates in complicated radiotherapy treatment planning and
delivery. In addition, the Department assists other clinical departments in ensuring radiation safety.
