The Department of Medicine (MED) of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital (PYNEH) is committed to provide comprehensive quality services and holistic care to our patients and community. MED has 12 subspecialty teams, including Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Geriatric Medicine, Haematology, Nephrology, Neurology, Respiratory Medicine, Rheumatology and Infectious Disease, which offer diverse and comprehensive service to patients.
To cater the ever-growing healthcare demand in the community, MED has taken a proactive approach to expand our service. In 2013, MED established a new Renal Centre to enhance the service for renal inpatients and day dialysis. Training programme for nocturnal home dialysis was also provided to patient since 2015.
