The Department of Medicine is committed to provide holistic care and deliver quality health service to our patients. Currently,
the Department has 10 subspecialty teams, including Cardiology, Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, Gastroenterology &
Hepatology, Geriatric Medicine, Haematology & Haematological Oncology, Nephrology, Neurology, Respiratory Medicine, Rheumatology
and Infectious Disease, providing diversified services to our patients.
In order to meet the growing healthcare need of the community, the Department has actively expanded its service for years. In 2013, we expanded Renal Centre, strengthening inpatient and day dialysis services for renal patients. In 2015, we started to provide training for patients to perform nocturnal home haemodialysis. In addition, the Haematology-Oncology Ward designated for haematological patients commenced service in 2020. We have implemented various smart hospital initiatives to enhance the quality of service, such as smart medication carts, e-vitals and smart panels, etc. We have also expanded telehealth services since 2021, including teleconsultation, remote patient education, as well as physiotherapy and occupational therapy tele-training, etc.
