The Department of Nuclear Medicine is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of professionals with expertise in utilizing radioactive substances and radiopharmaceuticals, as well as using modern imaging facilities and related technologies to evaluate organ and tissue function at the cellular or molecular level. It collaborates with other clinical service departments in a holistic approach towards medical diagnosis, risk stratification, cancer staging, treatment planning and response monitoring. It also offers professional training and supports clinical research for continuous development of nuclear medicine services in Hong Kong.
