Physiotherapy utilizes non-pharmacological methods to provide rehabilitation and preventive treatment for patients from various specialties. This includes physical and exercise assessments and rehabilitation, manual therapy, various forms of electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, and acupuncture. It is aimed at treating various types of pain, musculoskeletal injuries, brain and nerve injuries, chest and respiratory problems, and more. Additionally, physiotherapists provide supported discharge for elderly patients, enabling them and their families to continue the rehabilitation process at home.
In recent years, the Physiotherapy Department has introduced various rehabilitation programmes, such as early mobilisation training for orthopedic and intensive care unit patients, prehabilitation and enhanced recovery training for patients receiving surgery, vestibular rehabilitation for dizziness, women's incontinence, fall prevention, mental health, and occupational health and safety.
In addition to treatment, physiotherapists also assess and recommend suitable walking aids and wheelchairs for patients, allowing them to reintegrate into society as soon as possible and achieve a balance between mental and physical health.
